Providing hope to youth struggling with life through art making

Are you 13 - 19 years and struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, schooling or relationship issues?

Meaningful Art is a fun therapeutic art program designed to support young people who have been struggling with life issues to self-reflect, safely express emotions and develop coping strategies.

No artist skills required!!!!

Creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, colouring, guided imagery and sculpting will be used to express oneself and gain self-awareness while having lots of fun.

Group co-ordinator

Anna Cameron is an experienced Social Worker, Family Therapist and Play & Art Therapist. She has 30 years experience in working with young people who suffer from trauma, mental health, behavioural, relationship and gender identity issues.

How many in a group?

  • up to 10 participants in a group

When are they run?

  • Thursday Afternoons - 3.45pm - 5.15pm

Location?

  • In “The Upper Room” above Hope Costumes & Thrift Store

  • 90 St John Street, Launceston (opposite Burger Junkie)

Cost?

  • No Cost to participants

What do I need to bring?

  • All materials are provided for the activities

  • Light refreshments are offered too

How do I join the group?

  • referrals are required and can be self-referrals (you apply for yourself), school staff, care-givers, Teen Challenge mentoring program, support services, health services etc

Permissions Required?

  • If you are under 18 parents / care-givers permission is required
